Almost every modern garage door opener has some form of limited internal memory which retains all the codes for mainly the keyless entry pad as well as the remote.
Then fetch your garage door s remote control opener.
In general garage door openers are simple to reprogram however.
The process for resetting your garage door opener varies depending on the brand model and age of your opener.
Reprogram each remote or keyless entry you wish to use.
This will remove the old code from the garage door openers memory.
Press and hold the enter button.
All previous codes are now erased.
If you de linked any smart devices double check those to make sure they can t still open your garage door either.
If you have more than 1 garage door you ll need to reset each unit individually.
At times you might need to erase the memory so that the codes are removed and the system is restored to its former default settings.
Depress the button on the side of the motor and hold down.

Step 1 place the ladder under the garage door power head and climb so you are within reach of the control buttons.
Click the button to check and make sure that the garage door does not open.
Just make sure you remember the button you pressed as this will be the button that opens and closes your garage door.
Press and hold the learn button on motor unit until the learn indicator light goes out approximately 6 seconds.
Use the 2 curved rectangular buttons on the top half of the remote to reset and reprogram the opener.
